Platform flow:
Follow the steps below to create create a live event using the VOD content:
Create a new Channel- You can add multiple shows to this Live events channel to ensure proper playback of the event.
Create a Show and map it to the above-created Live Channel.
Upload Live Event: → Go to the Content→ Live Stream → Upload Live Stream/Live Event
Select “Live Event”.
Under the live event type, Choose “VOD content”
Once the VOD content is selected, the show option will be enabled.
Select the show and then select the respective video from the video library- You can choose any video from the selected show. (to avoid listing all the videos in the video library, show selection can be used as a filter).
Under the Live event show- Select the show created above(mapped to the default channel to make the playback seamless)
Add the remaining details for the Live event and press the save button(Existing live event flow).
You can also create a new show, Map it to the “Live events” channel and push it to the website and other endpoints under the customization section and then map the newly created show while adding a live event.
⚠️ Note: Live events created from VOD content can be scheduled only 2 hours from current time
Endpoints:
Once the setup is completed, The new event will be listed on the “Live Events page” along with the other scheduled events (if any).
