You can simply earn the difference (maybe even more) through ads. Moreover, you have a presence on more screens and capture more eyeballs

How to combine ads with SVOD

Here is a simple example of how you can do it

  • Offer legacy content that is also available elsewhere to view or download freely can be made available freely (supported by ads - AVOD)

  • Create multiple subscription bundles (based on language, genre) or one bundle for your entire library

  • Create two pricing models for the created bundle. One slightly higher price but without any ads. Another priced slightly lower - but supported by ads.

Creating a Subscription Plan With Ads

  • From the Monetization section of the left menu, select SVOD and Manage SVOD Plans

  • Click on the Plus + button

  • Fill in the name and select its type (Normal, Trial, or Free) from the dropdown

  • Click on Add New button

  • Click on the plus icon and fill in details for the plan

  • Head to the Enable Ads section

    • Selecting Yes - The subscribers of this plan will see ads

    • Selecting No - The subscribers of this plan will not see any ads

  • Hit the Save button

How to Enable Ads on Existing Subscription Plans

  • From the Monetization section of the left menu, select SVOD and Manage SVOD Plans

  • Click on the Target option under the respective plan

Head down to the Enable Ad section

  • Selecting Yes - The subscribers of this plan will see ads

  • Selecting No - The subscribers of this plan will not see any ads

  • Hit the Save button to apply the choices to the plan.
