Live chat is a great way to spark a conversation with your viewers and use it to make them your fans.

If possible, appoint a moderator -- they can respond to messages, manage comments, and delete improper chats.

According to CrazyEgg, 38% of consumers are more likely to buy from a company if they offer live chat support

Here is how to set up a live chat, for the Live Page:

  • From the Content section of the left menu, select Live Stream> Manage Live Chat

  • To allow users to chat, enable the toggle button of the Allow Live Chat option

  • This option will be available only for the Website and mobile apps.

After making the changes, hit the Submit button

Chat functionality will be enabled only for videos that have chat enabled in their Advanced Settings section.

Enabling the Live chat feature at the Video level(Individually):

  • While uploading a video(single upload only)

  • After uploading a video: Via the Manage video section of the video library.

  1. Enable the “Video Live Chat” section and select Save.

  2. The live chat-enabled videos will be listed.

✨ If required, We can reset the chat list every 24 hours(recommended) or as required so that the old conversations will not be displayed for a long time like comments.

Make sure, you have set up the Firebase prerequisites before enabling this feature!
