When setting up Live events, It’s essential to start the RTMP servers on the platform before pushing the RTMP stream to OBS. Once the RTMP server is started, you can use the RTMP URL provided on the platform for setting up the OBS streaming.

1. From the Content section of the left menu, Select Live Stream→ Manage RTMP server.

You can see the page with the details below:

  • RTMP URL

  • Stream Key

  • HLS URL

  • RTMP Server status

2. By default, the Server status will be Stopped and you need to select the Start RTMP server option.

3. Once selected, the server will take some time to move to the start status.

4. Once the status is updated to Start, you can use the RTMP URL and Stream key to push the stream from OBS.

  • Click here to learn more about configuring the OBS.

5. After that, you can use the HLS URL to upload the live event on the platform.

  • Click here to learn more about how to upload live events on the platform.

6. Once the event is completed, you can use the Stop RTMP server to stop the servers on the platform.

7. You will see an alert message “RTMP server stop request has been received” and the server will be stopped within a few minutes.

8. After that, the status of the server will be updated to “RTMP Server has been successfully stopped”.

9. Please note that you need to stop the server only after the live event streaming is completed. If you stop it before the event completion, then the event streaming will also be stopped as well.
