A playlist is a collection of a similar set of videos. You can create as many playlists as you want and showcase them on your website and apps.
Some examples of playlists are grouping all videos by a director, grouping all food videos, grouping the top 5 videos for this month, etc.
These are 2 playlists - Trending Now and Simply Special. The relevant videos of Trending Now and Simply Special are grouped in them.
Steps for creating a playlist:
1. From the Content section of the, select Organize > Playlist > Add.
2. If you have created multiple domains, choose a Domain. If not, leave it as it is.
3. Enter the Playlist Name.
4. Add a Poster to your playlist. We support posters in 4 different resolutions -
Below are the maximum allowed dimensions for the poster.
i) 1X1- 1080x1080
ii) 16X9- 2560x1440
iii) 4X3- 1600x1200
iv) 3X4- 1200x1600
5. The default status is Active. You can inactivate the playlist by choosing Inactive.
6. In Geo-Targeting, select the countries where the playlist should be visible. To select all countries, click Check All on the right-hand side.
7. Finally, click Submit to create the playlist.
ADD VIDEOS TO A PLAYLIST:
After you have created a playlist, you can add videos to it. There are three ways to add videos to the playlist.
OPTION 1:
1. From the Content section of the left menu, select Organize > Video Library.
2. Click the Playlist next to the video you want to add to a playlist.
3. Select the playlists to which you want to add this video and Click Save Playlist. You can add the same video to multiple playlists here.
OPTION 2:
1. From the left menu, select Manage Content > Video Library.
2. Click Manage Video next to the video you want to add to a playlist.
3. Go to Video Grouping and choose the playlists to which you want to add this video
4. Click Save Changes.
OPTION 3 :
This option is best suited if you want to add multiple videos to a single playlist.
1. From the Content section of the left menu, select Manage Content > Playlist.
2. Click Edit next to the playlist you want to add videos to.
3. Scroll down and click Add videos to (Playlist name).
4. You will see a list of all the videos you have in your video library. You can filter this list by Video Category and Video Show from the drop-down on the right-hand side.
5. Select the videos you want to add and click Add videos to (playlist name). You can add multiple videos at the same time.
6. Your videos will be added to your Playlist.
💡 Pro tip: You can check the number of videos added to the playlist on the dashboard.
