There are four steps involved to complete this process.

  1. Uploading content to the S3 bucket

  2. Creating an MRSS(XML) feed using the uploaded content

  3. Updating CDN details on the Ventuno platform

  4. Upload the created MRSS feed to the platform to complete the content upload process.

Step-1: Uploading content to the S3 bucket

To upload content, you need to have an AWS S3 bucket, and if you don't have one, we can create a bucket and share the details with you.

Follow the steps below to upload content to your S3 bucket.

  • Login to your AWS account or use the S3 credentials shared with you(created from our end).

  • Create folders by following the naming rules and you can organize your content upload on your AWS account using the created folders. Click here to learn more about naming rules.

  • Select the folder you want to upload content and inside the folder choose the Upload button.

  • Choose Add Files.

  • Navigate to the appropriate folder, and choose one object to upload.

  • Choose the uploaded file(checkbox), and then choose Upload.

  • Once completed, your file will be uploaded to the S3 bucket.

  • Click here to learn more about AWS content upload.

  • Create multiple folders and continue uploading the content.

Note: If you upload Video or audio files in mp4, mp3, and other formats, they need to be encoded on the Ventuno platform while uploading. If you have already encoded content in .M3U8 format, you can upload them to the S3 bucket as well and they will be pushed to the Ventuno platform (without Ventuno encoding).

Step-2: Creating an MRSS(XML) feed using the uploaded content :

Once the content is uploaded, you need to create an XML feed to proceed with the upload process.

Check the article here to learn how to create an XML feed(MRSS feed) using the uploaded content.

Once the XML is created, you need to upload the XML file again to the S3 bucket by following the same steps mentioned above. After uploading, the Object URL of the uploaded XML is the Feed URL.

Once the above is completed, you can proceed with the next steps.

Step-3: Updating CDN details on the Ventuno platform:

If you have your own CDN, follow the steps below to update the details on the Ventuno platform. If you use Ventuno's CDN, please check with the Support team and they will provide the required CND details to proceed with this.

Please note that this is an important step that needs to be completed before the MRSS feed upload, otherwise, the details added will not be uploaded to the Ventuno platform.

Step-4: Upload the created MRSS feed to the platform:

The object URL of the uploaded XML is the Feed URL and it will look like below.

Follow the steps in the below article to learn more about uploading the MRSS feed to the Ventuno platform.

Once uploaded, you can check the content under your Video Library.
