Once you set up a live event you may want to showcase them in your website and apps as a separate page only for events.

For this purpose, you can make the required changes to Events (Default page)

⚠️ Note: The Live Page (Default Page) and Events (Default Page) are entirely different from each other.

The Live Page is to setup your 24x7 linear channel with an EPG and the events page will show your live events

  • From the Apps section of the left menu, select the App (Web, Mobile, CTV)

  • Then, head to the Pages tab and expand the Events page

  • You will notice that you have controls to select what elements are to be shown on the events page and their settings

  • Title: - The title of the video

    • Toggle ON Title - To make your event show its title

    • Text Size: Select the font size in which the title should appear

    • Overline: Enable or disable the overline (above title)

  • Description: The description of the video (live event)

    • Description Text Size: Select between small, default, and large

    • Description Restriction: Denotes the maximum number of lines you want the description to show. In this case, the description will be shown up to the first 2 lines after which there will be a click to expand to read more

  • Social Share: Toggling this ON will let your users share the event on their social handles

  • Watchlist: This lets your users help add a the event to their watchlist so that they can easily access it in the future.
We recommend turning this on, only if you will schedule and promote your event well in advance so that the user adds it for easy access on the scheduled date

  • Subline: The text that appears below the title

    • You can choose Language, Country or both

    • When you select both you can also define what separates these 2 values

  • Recommended Events: This is to show related events below the details of the event that the user has currently opened. This will be shown below the preview pane of the selected event

    • Layout: Select how you want the related events to be shown

    • Give a title to this section

    • What thumbnail ratio do you prefer and what size do you prefer for the recommended events

All the configurations we discussed above are to set up your events detail page (ie) what your users see when they click a future/scheduled event

But you will also want to customize the page which lists all your current and upcoming events.

For this scroll down to the Events Listing Config Accordion, expand it, and set it up the way you want it

  • Title - The video title and its font size and alignment can be selected

  • Subtitle fields - and their text size can be selected

  • Event Thumb Ratio: Select the ratio in which the event thumbnail should be showcased and the size in which it should appear

  • Live Label: Can be enabled or disabled, the default text for the label is Live and you can customize this with any text (max 8 characters) and choose the label color with hexcolor code
