The banner ad has been around since ad campaigns began on the internet. While the digital landscape is changing, banner ads continue to be prevalent. According to a study by the Internet Advertising Revenue Report, banner ads are one of the “most dominant” forms of advertising on the internet.

Creating an Ad Banner (Only for custom banner images)
From the Monetization section of the left menu, select Manage Ad Banner.
Click on the Create button
Select Type as Ad Banner
Fill in a Name for your banner
⚠️ Note: Make sure the name is unique and identifiable. Because you will add the created banner using this name
Upload the banner images in the required ratios
⚠️ Note: Make sure you upload a 4:1 image as it is the most suitable banner size across all devices
Click on the Submit button
How to edit a created banner
You may want to edit a created banner for various reasons like replacing the existing banner with a new banner or updating the images for the ad and so on.
Here is how to do it
From the Monetization section of the left menu, select Manage Ad Banner
You will see the list of created banners
Click on the Edit option under the Action column of the required banner
Make the necessary edits
Hit the Submit button
Deleting a banner
You might not want to use a created banner.
You may want to delete it permanently - eg: you will no longer promote the content
You might want to remove it temporarily. eg: you will promote the content after a while say when you launch the next season for the show or so on.
To Delete a banner permanently,
From the Monetization section of the left menu, select Manage Ad Banner
You will see the list of created banners
Click on the Delete option under the Action column of the required banner
To remove a banner temporarily,
From the Monetization section of the left menu, select Manage Ad Banner
You will see the list of created banners
Click on the Edit option under the Action column of the required banner
Set the Status as Inactive
Hit the Submit button
How to add banners to your website and apps
Now that you have created the banners, let's add them to the website and apps
From the Endpoints section of the left menu, Select Responsive website → Website(beta).
Head to Pages tab
You will be taken to the website customization page.
Expand Home (page)
⚠️ Note: Ad banners can be displayed only on the home page
From the drop-down select the AdBanner option
Click on the Save button
Select the Custom Banner option
Select the created banner from the Banner dropdown
Paste the URL of the respective content.
⚠️ Note: You have to enable the external link option incase you want to navigate the user to another site.
🚨Some CTV apps do not allow external navigation.
Hit the Save Button
Adding GAM 360 Adbanners
From the Endpoints section of the left menu, Select Responsive website → Website(beta).
Head to the Pages tab
You will be taken to the website customization page.
Expand Home (page)
⚠️ Note: Ad banners can be displayed only on the home page
From the drop-down select the AdBanner option
Click on the Save button
Select the Custom Banner option
Select Add Code Snippet
Paste the code from your GAM360 account
⚠️ Note: Create a 728x90 banner in your GAM360 profile.
Click on the Save button
