How to configure your email and SMS gateways?

What is an SMS/e-mail gateway provider?

A system that allows to send and receive SMS or Email messages is known as an SMS or Email Gateway. A company that provides this service is an SMS or Email, Gateway Provider.

Amazon SES and SNS are the most popular email and SMS gateways globally.

Why should you configure your email gateway to your streaming service?

Configuring an SMS and email gateway for your streaming service can be helpful in several ways:

User engagement:

By integrating an email gateway, you can send personalized messages to your users, such as notifications about new content, offers, and other important updates. This can help keep users engaged and interested in your streaming platform.

How to set up email triggers

User verification:

SMS and email can also be used to verify user accounts during registration, password resets, and other security-related processes.

How to configure your mailbox (email)

  • From the My Profile section of the left menu select SMS/Email Configuration

  • If your provider exists on the page click on the Email button below their name.

  • If your provider is not on the list, click on the Email button below the SMTP option

  • Fill in the details and click Submit

⚠️ Note: Only one email service can be actively linked to your profile. When you activate the second service, the previous one will become inactive by default

How to configure your SMS

  • From the My Profile section of the left menu select SMS/Email Configuration

  • If your provider exists on the page click on the SMS button below their name. Else, contact our support team. They will help your integration process.

  • Fill in the details and click Submit

⚠️ Note: Only one SMS service can be actively linked to your profile. When you activate the second service, the previous one will become inactive by default
