Managing user subscriptions efficiently is critical for maintaining customer satisfaction and streamlining app operations. In cases of customer support requests, users often reach out for immediate subscription termination due to various reasons, such as accidental purchases, dissatisfaction, or financial constraints. Directly canceling subscriptions via the Google Developer Console allows you to address such requests quickly, fostering trust and enhancing the overall user experience.

Scenarios for Using This Option

  • Customer support requests for cancellation.

  • Fraudulent activity on a user account.

  • Subscription management for sandbox or test users.

Steps to Cancel a Subscription via Order Management:

  • Use the Order ID (e.g., GPA.1234-5678-9012-34567) to find the subscription.

    • If you don't have the Order ID details of the user, you can reach out to our customer support so that we can check and share the details based on the user's email address.

    • Please ensure that the Email ID matches the one the user used to log into their Android TV device. Otherwise, the backend data will not align.

  • Click on the "β†’"(right arrow) to view order details.

  • Select "Cancel subscription".

The "Cancel subscription" button allows you to directly cancel a Google Play subscription for a user.

What Happens When You Use "Cancel Subscription"?

  • The subscription is terminated immediately.

  • The user loses access to the subscription benefits.

  • Refunds might not be issued automatically unless you process them separately.
